JOE 4
Joe 4 are a trio from Zagreb, Croatia which began playing at the end of 2008. as a four
piece. In the middle/end of 2009. they continue to work as a cohesive trio, recording their first release, a 4 song demo distributed solely through web channels.
Joe 4's music owes much to the creative epoch of the 90s underground labeled "American noise rock". Rage, sarcasm, and cynicism are injected into highly structured, yet compact, arrangements and wrapped around noise- and volume-filled songs.
Like their inspirations, Joe 4 lays out rebellious, quarrelsome, and obscene images in their efficient and workman-like assaults. RIYL: Shellac, Tar, Janitor Joe, The Jesus Lizard. (credits: sound and design assembly)
Members :
Drums, Bass, Guitar, The Rose.
Joe 4 – Njegov Sin – EP
Njegov sin was recorded and mixed by Steve Albini in November 2011, over the course of three days in Oxygen Recording Studio, Italy. Everything was done in a completely analog setting and recorded directly to tape. The record was mastered by Bob Weston. A Guy With A PC handled the artwork duties, and he managed to attach a whole new meaning to Goya’s Saturn Devouring His Son.
First EP of JOE 4. If you have a certain affinity for what we could term "big ugly monster" rock music, Enola Gay, by Croatia's Joe 4, fits in with that. It's big, ugly, nasty, fucked up and in all the right ways.
